Real and fake

By jquiggin | August 30, 2008

Until now, the blogospheric fuss over former TNR diarist Scott Beauchamp has been notable only for the amount of attention paid to disputing utterly trivial anecdotes. But the Beauchamp saga has suddenly and surprisingly collided with the reality of war in Iraq, as Moon of Alabama explains.

Hey, Beauchamp defamed his fellow soldiers by claiming they hurt innocent PUPPIES!! That’s an infinitely worse crime in the eyes of the wingnuts than killing a few Iraqis, who were probably damn terrorists anyway and even if they weren’t, well it’s war and stuff happens.

Besides, as they proved to their own satisfaction in the Haditha affair, these are all lies by the liberal media anyway.
