I agree. But just this once.
Not so fast, Terje. I’d like to hear JQ’s arguments before agreeing to this test.
Teste,testes!
Peter, you have no balls.
This academic is trying to make a test, a test.
Why wait for the argument?
Finally figured out to use
I feel now that all my investment into human capital is finally yielding some positive returns.
Human capital is amazing stuff. We might use it more often.
The only capital we can squander, and it just breeds again.
sigh…to be honest I expected a little more substance in this thread.
Oh well.
Oh please tell me how to do blockquotes!
Please.
Terje,
If you want to look like Jack Strocchi even more you need to learn
Otherwise, don’t bother. Just continue to test.
Terence, peace of mind is expecting the worst and accepting it.
Test on!
For that matter, bring on the the IR changes while we’re at it, it’s a beautiful spring day and i’m feeling tolerant…
It is amazing how much discussion a two word post can create. Minimalist blogging?
Post-modern, indeed!
Just by the way, if you have missed the link to proposed “Ant-errorism” laws, (sic), they are available on my site.
It’s part of an elaborate stimulus-response project, to examine the extent to which an innoculous word can trigger an avalanche of brainstorming and witty rejoinders.
As advertised, it is indeed a test. Of us.
The usual pattern on Usenet (and a certain anti-Margo blog) is that the quality of responses degenerates with the number of replies. Because there was so little to start with, on this thread it can only get better (which it has, at least until this post)!
Peter, you show great acceptance of the test.
Love your humility in the last line ,but uncertain of “the academic”.
Terje (and anyone else):
How to do blockquotes:
Let’s say I want to blockquote:
“John has a nice beard, but what’s he hiding behind it?”
You need to use the html tag [blockquote] to start and [/blockquote] to end it using instead of [ and ]. It’s very important that you remember to close your blockquotes.
So
[blockquote]John has a nice beard.[/blockquote]
when replaced [ and ] with it looks like:
*sigh*
That didn’t make much sense because html tags get deleted when you post. You need to use the ‘less than’ symbol (shift comma) instead of [ and the ‘greater than’ symbol (shift period) for it to work.
… and the ‘greater than’ symbol (shift period) instead of ] for it to work.
Are you sure you can’t write … in a comment?
Not without messing up my system – JQ
Hehe. I guess not. How weird. <blockquote>.
That was difficult. I had to type in “& amp;lt;blockquote& amp;lt;”, without the spaces. The preview doesn’t match what gets shown.
