Talking of slackness, I looked at my blogroll and realised that I’d failed yet again to include Chris Sheil’s excellent Back Pages. This time, I promise I’ll get it right.

John Quiggin 
Interesting how Crooked Timber shows the value of a group blog, while Back Pages shows the value of individualism. They are both exemplars of the form. Quiggin, with its commmunity of commenters is another distinctive solution..
