Queensland premier Peter Beattie has launched a disaster relief fund to help Cyclone Larry victims, kicking off fundraising with a donation of $100,000.
To make a donation to the cyclone Disaster Relief Fund, you can ring 1800 150 411 with your credit card details, between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Cheques can be made out to the “Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal Fund” with the account number being 064-013-1000-6800.
Donations can also be made at any branch of the Commonwealth Bank and any gifts over $2 are tax deductible.
Did Peter Beattie really donate $100,000? That seem like a lot for somebody on a Premiers wage.
For us Yanks, John, is there a clickable donation method?
Best of luck to the folks down there,
D
I haven’t been able to find a clickable link, Dano, but I’ll post one as soon as I do.

Although not a true donation approach SCHWOIT will be donating March 2006 revenue from the Google Adsense advertisements to the Queensland victims of Cyclone Larry via the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal. So get on over to http://schwoit.com/ or http://peers20s.schwoit.com and click an ad, every cent will help.
Thought the Red Cross would be, but are not providing an online donation service as you can donate through the local bank.
Salvation Army are taking donations online though:

You can donate to the Premier’s Cyclone Larry Appeal online through the website at https://www.smartservice.qld.gov.au/AQ/selectItem?formID=7 . Unfortunately, though, this site doesn’t any much information on the disaster itself, or where the money wil lbe funnelled.
I dont want this to be seen as self promotion or advertising, but I have currently setup an charity auctions program just for the victims of cyclone larry, you can find all the information on this page http://www.eroo.com.au/larry.php
it is a great way to find a bargain, while helping others

William
