Akismet has started flagging lots of genuine comments as spam. I’m manually despamming when I get time, and will work on a fix when I get some more time – probably not for a week or two, unfortunately. So apologies for the disrupted discussion, brickbats to spammers of all kinds, and hope that normal service will return soon.

Nope – it’s the usual treatments for male disorders, pr0n sites and so on.
I have had problems
The Akismet people have’nt been watching their Numb3ers ( Numb three ers in English) as then they would know that the spam detecting SVM algorithm could be poisoned by a “crack” mathematician.
I think with your blog attracting a large number of genuine readers it would be safe to implement user moderated spam filters.
