1. ABC OnLine had an opinion piece running yesterday on Blogging Vs the MainStreamMedia entitled “Bloggers vs The Pros”.

   I posted the following:

   The title for this opinion piece is ironic. Most journalists study “journalism” – a generalist degree that allows them to write about everything with little more than a basic understanding of anything. By contrast, many bloggers are experts in their field, who blog as a side-light to their work. They are the real “pros” – journalists, though they get paid for what they write, are really the amateurs here.
