This blog first announced itself to the world 21 years ago, on 21 June 2002. Since then, I’ve said a lot of things that seem worth repeating, as well as some that haven’t aged quite so well. To celebrate the age of majority, I’m going to start recycling posts, one day at a time. See what you think

I’m trying to think of when I might have read your first post. It sure has been a nice long run. But if I go back far enough, I can’t find the line in my memory between here and Crooked Timber. I do remember how I first got to CT, though: seeing Henry Farrell on Bloggingheads.tv.
(Somehow, that aspect seems older than 21, but human perceptions are mighty stretchy things, aren’t they?)
Anyway, congratulation, thanks for all of the good words, and remember, you are now halfway to the answer to life, the universe, and everything.
