I just upgraded WordPress and, as usual, I’m a bit slow about restoring my formatting. I’ll try to get the essentials like recent comments back soon. In the meantime, feel free to make suggestions.

John, really recommend for you to start tagging your posts… because your blog deserves more attention and tagging is a big step to doing that. It’s pretty easy to do. Explanation here. Even easier by using a bookmarklet to generate them like this one.
As against which, when I hear either of the words “upgrade” or “enhance” I reach for my Browning (apologies to H. Goering) – particulraly in the context of “…your browsing experience”.
Please, please, if you must do this damned fool thing, don’t do it in this damned fool way (apologies to Sir Humphrey Appleby). Why not look at the Anybrowser site? Then you can reflect on the truism that you are always writing for an audience with its own range of characteristics and allow for them appropriately.
I think this format is an improvement actually. I’d stick with it.
If in doubt there’s always the instuction manual:

🙂
The font is a bit hard on the eyes, mate. Times New Roman was good enough for my grand-father…!
I like the new look but agree with gandhi – the font is very hard to read, even on a good screen. It is a little small and thin. If you want to stick with sans-serifs, how about shifting to Arial?
Where is the beardie picture? And I agree that the font is tough to read. Mostly I’d like to see the picture back again.
Oh please no, not the bearded picture. It reminds me how close it is to Christmas.
I like your site very much but find the new font a real test on the eyes. I’ve got a head cold so my head’s not super clear but it’s really hard to concentrate with this font.
