I’ve been arguing against attempts to apply Australian electoral laws, requiring that “electoral material” include the name and address of an authorising person to blog posts and comments. But, judging by a report in the Age, the situation is far worse in Japan

Do you think we could make televison illegal?
We tried, Terje, and it would be terrific. TV ads both debase the political process and hoover up money. Unfortunately the Dems allowed themselves to be convinced that political commercials = free speech and refused to support the legislation. Even though they find the cost of the ads onerous.
David,
I like the commercials. Its the rest of TV that I have an issue with. Can we ban TV but keep the commercials?
🙂
Regards,
Terje.
