Due to arcane problems with caches, users of Firefox (and maybe some other browsers) haven’t been able to read new posts at Crooked Timber for over a week. You can work around by using Safari, or by clicking on the comments thread of a post, then clicking Home in the expanded view (please don’t ask me why this works). RSS feeds also appear to work normally.
Hi John,
As was mentioned in one of the comments threads, there’s an easier workaround: goto http://crookedtimber.org/ instead of http://www.crookedtimber.org/
It’s still a bit of a mystery why the two ways of accessing the site are different, but it works!
Also, on PC none of the browsers (Firefox, Google Chrome, IE 7, Safari) show the latest posts at the “www.” address, so http://crookedtimber.org/ is the only workaround I think! Following your instructions simply changes the URL to remove “www.” from the URL bar…
