Viktor Orban lost the Hungarian election. That’s the first piece of good news for quite a while. I place the remainder of my global hopes in the EU. I haven’t really been a fan of their sub-optimal currency area and fiscal policies but the EU is still streets ahead of every other large polity on the issues of freedom, justice and equality. They are of a good size with significant economic power and are willing to stand up for their values.

From way way up in the bleachers … also, with a short attention span … it is a good thing if he gracefully accepts the result.

Just fyi, I’m not able to comment on the 2 more recent posts. I think the error message was vague, like “this comment is not able to be posted” or something like that.
On the positive side, Trump has done more for renewable energy than any other President.
